A few years ago I was remodeling my kitchen, and I decided to build my own cabinets. It was an adventure, let me tell you! I got some wood and varnish and all the necessary tools. I had a model that I was following, and I started the process of cutting everything. Well, halfway through I realized that it was in no way going to work. Despite all my careful measurements, the new cabinets weren't going to fit. And that isn't even thinking about the fact that they looked horrible. I ended up going to a professional carpenter in my town to get my real cabinets. I learned my lesson: I should not be doing any construction work without the help of a professional. But I did start this site to maybe give you a few construction ideas, whether professional or DIY.
